When doing water changes, how , much water should be removed?
Also, When doing aquarium vac's when do you know when to stop?

I heard it depends on how much you do it. A usual thing is 10% water changes once a week every week. In other words, 1 gallon would be changed and in a 100 gallon 10 gallons would be changed. As for gravel vacs, I guess you know when you are done when no more clouded water is being sucked up from the gravel.

i have a 250lt 3ft tankj and i do a weekly wc of 25%... depends how often you do one and how big ur tank is in volume.... you wouldnt do a gallon wc in a 1000lt tank would you.... also depending what fish you are keeping depends how often you have to do a wc. if ur keeping an oscar for example. they are a messy fish so a greater water change would be required than that of say: a rainbow fish or guppy tank.. also depending how many fish you have in your tank and also how well you filter handle you bio load. if you are over stocked then you can expect to do more water changes then that of someone who is on teh limit of fish numbers.
