Quarantine

Hi All, I used to breed birds and keep an aviary,it was most important when buying new stock to quarantine for at least 3 weeks to a month so disease didn't spread to the other birds, my question is...........what's the quarantine rule for fish..........?? Thanks

Some people quarantine, some peope don't.

If you do quarantine, it needs to be for two weeks

I do... for 2 weeks if it comes from my specialty store and 4 weeks if it comes from my LPS (petsmart/petco). Just because I know that my LPS doesn't take as good care of the fish they have coming in.

With that said, if you notice anything funny, keep them a few extra weeks in there so you don't upset your main tank.
