So I had been thinking about doing a reef without doing a reef tank.
And I thought upon the Idea of using lava rock and building on that using resin marine decs and Wilko Colored Fern Plants.

Got the tank sitting waiting to be done.

Powerhead will come from one of my dektop waterfeatures. Unit is smaller than a Match Box.

Lighting will be Desklamp or LED Crimbo Lights.

Inhabitants will be a Thai Red Claw Crab and something else.

will post pix in abit as gotta go buy a new 3 peice suite for one of tenants.

Sounds interesting Gill, but for such a small tank why not stick to live rock, will look more natural

Seffie x

ps looking forward to watching the tank evolve

Marimo Balls Shredded into looking more like Mermaids Hair Algae.

Crab is not being co-operating with photos and hides behind the rocks.

Looks sweet, what are you using for flow and light?

Seffie x

Lighting will be the desk lamp and crimbo LED lights.
Flow will be a Pico Water Feature Pump. Will be hidden in the Far right corner.

Gill have you got a marine tank atm?

Nope Not ATM, But i am really liking how this has turned out, so might turn it into a reef. The marine LFS has Loads of Teeeny Tiny FRags in the 10 foot coral display.
