Black Spot

Symptoms:

Your fish will have small black spots measuring about 2 millimeters in diameter. These can be found anywhere on the fish’s body and fins. Cysts may be found in the internal organs. It is typical for African Cichlids, however, to constantly have little black spots, especially around their mouths. These black spots should not be mistaken for "Black Spot." These are scabs, which have resulted from digging in the gravel or from fighting.

Cause:

Larvae of parasitic digenetic flukes, Cercaria and Metacercaria. The spots seen contain larval stages of digenetic flukes. The life cycle of these parasitic flukes begins when fish-eating birds and other animals ingest fish infected with the parasites. Once ingested the parasites mature in the intestines of the host animal where they produce eggs. The eggs are then deposited into the water where they hatch and infect the livers of aquatic snails. The parasites then develop into a second and then third larval stage before leaving the snail to seek out a fish host. This type of parasitic infestation is most common in wild caught fish and pond fish.

Treatment:

Remove all snails from the aquarium or pond to end the cycle of infection. Treatment is rarely necessary and can be difficult if not impossible. Minor infestations may clear without treatment as the larvae will eventually die and be absorbed by the host's immune responses. Copper Sulfate may be helpful in severe cases.

What type of platys is it, just to make sure its not markings.

well its blue with a red tail fin and orange dorsal fin and a yellow belly is it natural for platys to have chubby bellies because i have seen a few like mine

If it's a female you can get your bottom dollar its pregnant.
Just make sure it not bloated, scales are not sticking out.
Cook some frozen peas for a few minutes, let cool down and pop out of shell.
Mush between fingers into small pieces and add to the tank.
I would feed peas in there diet twice a week it keeps them going to the toilet, there good for constipation.

oh great i dnt have another tank and i dont want my tank flooded with babys hhahaha will any of my other fish eat them i have 2 weather loach 2 swordtails another platy and a small RTBS

How many gallons is the tank.
Yes some will get eaten when there born, some will survive if there plenty of hiding spaces in the tank.
If you have males in the tank they will breed.
A female can store sperm for several months.

its a juwel rekord 96 and i asked the guy at the LFS to give me all males due to the fact i dont want to breed other possible diagnosis is tht it has an illness but doesnt show any signs of being ill its just got one huge belly

So you sure its a male.
If so all you can do is stop feeding for a few days.
Cook some peas as there good for constipation.
If scales start to stick out its dropsy.
Epson salt baths help draw the fluids out.

Let us all know how the fish goes.
Good luck.
