pregnant fish and Ph

the Ph in my 29 gal tank is at 6.0 or so for some reason (any ideas?) I have a platy that is pregnant, and should have had the babies already IMHO. Could the low Ph keep her from dropping the fry?
Also, how can I raise the Ph? all my other tanks stay at about 7.0-7.2

Think rock decorations can affect PH in tanks, other than that, not a ton of reasons I'm aware of it could be different. Not sure how a low Ph like that could affect her, but I'd do my best to raise it. Thought plants, peatmoss, and stuff like that can do the trick.

Platys seem reluctant to drop fry if they haven't got enough saltwater, well that is the case with mine anyway
