i have a dwarf neon rainbow fish thats been bloated for a week or 2 now its a female so i 1st thought it may be pregnant then i thought it was just bloated so i put her in a breeding trap and didnt feed for 3 days with no effect. the fish ignored peas whwn i tried to feed them but still goes for flake etc.. it doesnt hang out with the other 8 as much as it used to and has lost a bit of colour. the pic below is about a week old before i starved her.
i have 1 other rainbow thats getting a bit bloated too now but thats a male so def not pregnant should i quarentine them or leave them in the tank?
also on the female i think i can see the scales on the belly sticking out a bit, is this a sure sign of dropsy or just from the swelling.....?

they were looking even worse than before gulping at the surface, lost all the colour, wouldnt eat and scales were raised. it did sound like dropsy im 99.9% sure it was this and if there is no cure then i thought this was the best thing for them.....
