Poorly Neon - Cyst On Nose

hi,

Please could someone tell me what is wrong with one of my neons. I'm new to fish keeping, only had tank in january. ive been searching the net and just getting more and more confused.

he's swimming and eating fine, though the others do seem to be nipping his tail.

Do have more pics if any wants to see them. (struggling to load them)

that's a good question. I have a cherry barb with the same thing, had it for a while but now she's doing really poorly

I was thinking that the fish may have a fungal infection but it looks more like a worm. I'm clueless as to what that is i'm afraid, sorry I couldn't help

Hmm, I too have a Neon Tetra with something very similar. It doesn't appear cotton-wool like in nature and is a transparent, white blob on the end of it's nose/mouth. Seems to be managing to get a bit of food, though the blob does hinder, but otherwise is shoaling and acting normally.

I wondered if it was some kind of injury?
