Pondering Tank Possibilities

Ive been cycleing (fishless) my 35litre tank for 2 months now and will not be adding fish untill i get back from my holiday in mid august. I origionally wanted one male betta and 6-8 pygmy cories and i like the idea. But just out of curiosity what else could i successfully keep in the tank (instead of the betta set up). Any suggestions appreciated.
