Please Help! Fighting Fish Eeek

Hey everyone wasnt sure where to post that would get quick attention!

just brought a king tiger pleco and it already have a para pleco in my juwel vision 180 tank. I intened to keep them in there until they get a little biggger and move to a larger tank. At the moment the para pleco is constantly fighting with the king tiger pleco! are they incompatible guy in the store said they would be okay?! can anyone suggest anything or are they being terrirtorial showing whos boss first

also brought a blue opaline gourami to match my other one however! it is constantly chasing the other opaline gourami and attacking the dwarfs! theyre petrified behind the heater will it settle or shall i take the opaline gourami back to the LFS?
please help!!

i had trouble with gouramis once, if i were you id try and take him back. He could be terrortorial nad kill your others.

i had trouble with gouramis once, if i were you id try and take him back. He could be terrortorial nad kill your others.

thanks i prob will take the gourami back tomrrow its being a nightmare! turned off lights for now try and calm the aggression down a bit

Get rid of the gourami, and as for the plecos, the reason why the para plecos fighting is because he/she was in the tank first and it's trying to claim territory that once it had. Try adding some more hiding spots for the King tiger and things should work out in a bit.

Just an update people! thanks for all your comments i have taken the blue opaline gourami out of the tank left the female on in, everyones happily swimming again.

Last night created coconut caves for the new pleco and he seems to be happily sleeping at the other end of the tank.

The plecos are just being territorial and trying to show dominance. A lot of plecos will do this to not only othe rplecos, but to other fish that venture too close to the plecos lair. I would suggest taking the gourami. Though they may look innocent gouramis have a little bit of a bad temper and have been known to be fin nippers and territorial.
