i have 5 platys, which were kept in poor water conditions. they are two months old, but range between 1/2 " and 1 1/2 " long.

is their stunted growth permanent, or will they grow now that they are in better water conditions?

could be to do with the diet of food that they are on, what have you been feeding them on? how big is the tank that they are in? what are the water conditions like?

i have been feeding them a mixture of:

sera mikropan for fry
tatrafin max goldfish flake food
tetramin pro tropical crisps
nutrafin staple food for tropical fish
and wardley tropical flakes

they used to be kept in a one gallon, but now they are in a 20 gallon

the water parameters were fine, the only problem was with the size of the tank

IF possible try them on some bloodworm this should soon get them up to size if they are not permanently stunted. At 2 months I would say they still have some growing left to do! Let us know how you get on!!

my lfs doesnt carry Tetramin Baby flake, but ill see if i can order some online.

and do u mean frozen or freeze-dried bloodworms, william?
