Platy Sexing And Snails

Hi there,

how do you tell the difference between a male and a female platy? We have three platys in our tank, but not sure what sexes they are.

Also we have a rather large amount of baby snails in our tank, we think they came in with the plants we bought. How do we get rid of them? I have been picking them out when I see them, but there seems to be an endless supply!
