Overhere a short video of my platinum red guppies. These are roundtails.
I've started off with one male that looked similar to these. I wasn't able to buy matching females. So, I've used virgin females that came also from a platinum line. It took about 5 generations before I had the desired phenotype. Before the males turn red, they start developing yellow first which will be replaced by red afterwards. The first females I've used came from a yellow platinum guppy line.
