1. What kind of plants shouyld i get for my 10 gallon (us) tank??

2. I heard that plants can help with the cycling. How? Is it because the plants come from a tank thats already cycle, and the plants have bacteria on them?? If so, does this also apply to internet-bought plants??

3. Do u think its better to buy plants online or from a fish store?

:dunno:

1) - depends. What fish do you have/plan to have? And how many watts is your light?

2) - There's a link here which might help you with that, although I imagine that if a plant came from a fish tank it would also have the beneficial bacteria on it.

3) - dunno really :dunno: An advantage of the lfs is you get to see exactly what you're buying and it isn't damaged in shipping. An advantage of buying online is that you get more choice.

clutterydrawer summed it up nicely.

Cycling with plants works very well. My tank cycled within one week of adding plants. This was, however, under very high light with the addition of CO2.

My experiences with online orders have not been good. I would wait to order plants when there are reasonably cooler temperatures. Some plants do not tolerate shipping at all. I prefer to get my plants at the LFS, but as clutterydrawer mentioned the selection is limited.

1. I plan to have:
4 zebra danios
5 neon tertas
2 or 3 ottos
2 or 3 guppies
Im going 2 be overstocked, i still have to decide which of these im not going to have.
The light has 50 watts, i think.

2. Ive already started doing a fishless cycle.
When should i add the plants?

3. I dont think im going 2 buy the plants in a fish store, since one of the ones i go to has diseased tanks, and dead plants (which is why i only buy supplies there), and the other one has pretty expensive plants ( 10in. amazon sword plant for $9.99).

50W! You can have what plants you like then ;) it's fluorescent not incandescent, right?

Seriously though. You have mroe choice than most people because you have a lot of lighting, but if you're not confident or experienced with platns, you might want to choose some easy types. You could have a look at teh plant list at www.tropica.com to see what you like the look of, it has details on the care of each plant, aswell.

50W sound wonderfull, you might need to add CO2

if it 3 x 15 Watts fluorescent trubes you might want to remove one till the plant are settled.
