Plants bought in pots

Ok some of my plants are doing great espesialy the ones planted directly into the substrate no pots. Due to my job I tend to be away from home for periods up to 5 days each time I return the the plants in pots are dug up and the ones directly in the soil are fine. The question is can I remove them from the pots and plant them directly into the substrate, would this not be better for the plants?

Wheather you take them out of the post or leave them in is actually a personal preference. I take them out just so the roots have more room to grow and it also makes the tank look nicer.

Thanks I will give it a try this evening, makes more sence to me to take them out.
