Plants and salt

Hi,

I had a problem with ich and fungus in one of my tanks a month or so ago. To aid the fishes healing, I added salt at 1 teaspoon per gallon. Since then, the crypts have lost most of their leaves. My question is: will the salt have caused this? Ideas please.

what kind of salt.... i hope it wasnt regular table salt

I have seen a similar effect. Salt seems to effect a few plants more adversely than others.

There are very few plants that can tolerate salt, espeacially at that kind of dosing.
