when I first plant stem plants with little to no roots, I sorta put it in on a bit of an angle, and place a larger stone on top of it. If it has leaves right down to the bottom, try placing a stone, or some of the gravel on top of a leaf to weigh it down. After about a week, the roots will have grown enought to keep it down itself.

Ill have to give it a try tonight, when plants pop out of the gravel will they die just floating in water?

It depends on the plant. Some plants will actually sprout roots from the stem allowing you to plant the stem horizontally and it will grow up. It's kinda cool.

Lovely tank! I find that happens with cabomba - i usualy cut each piece in half and let it grow from a small cutting itself - it seems to anchor itself down then.

I was able to snap all my past last nite, because it's a fairly tall tank i was wet as hell  I think i might do a water change so i can get really in there without making a mess, i don't have fish in there anyway so should be cool. I dont see any other way im going to do it without a water change, i have already made 3 attempts.

i have manage to plant them all i hope they don't float by morning..... I think the plants at them back(don't know name) was a big mistake for me.

i think you mean vallis - the long leaved ones? they're common for pushing themselves out due to the roots growing and pushing the plant "up" as opposed to pulling "down".

if possible try putting a good 2 to 2 1/2 inches of gravel depth at the back under them, that should do the trick once they get growing into it.

good deal. btw, you can't overplant a tank. ;) That grass stuff that you have at the back may be "mondo grass" too, a non-aquatic.
