A few weeks ago I bought some sword plants, some val, some rotala walichii and switched to sand. The sword plants weren't doing so good (lacy leaves), the vals weren't growing like they used to and the only plant doing well was the Rotala. After posting here about it I realised that I needed to be adding root tabs for my swords. Which I did.
Today I removed all the dead/horrible leaves from the swords revealing the new leaves which are beautiful in colour, shape and appearance. My vals had grown so much I needed to trim some of them almost in 1/2
And now just after a water change everything is pearling nicely
Also, 2 weeks ago I planted some glossostigma. I thought I'd planted it wrong since it hadn't done much. Then today doing the gravel vac I can see that it has sent out runners EVERYWHERE and now seems to be starting the beginning of a carpet (meaning I guess that my light must be OK for it)....
As you can imagine I am pretty excited
