Planted Betta Tank

Hi, so maybe a couple of you may remember that a while ago i made a couple of threads in which on two i had plans for a planted tank and a tank to house a betta. Well i decided why not combine the two! 

Now christmas has been and gone i am all sorted. It has been a while getting everything bought and the tank cycled but it is about ready to house a new addition.
 
I chose a sand substrate. In the sand i have planted Cabomba and hydrophila. I have a small bit of bogwood too in the corner. 
This was what i originally wanted when doing just a planted tank. So ive done my research and am going to house a Betta in this set up.

Also i have finally made the decision between a male and female betta to add. I chose MALE! 
Even though it has taken me months to decide! Haha.

I find making quick decisions often times leads to bad decisions. Congrats on your choices. Sounds good. Hopefully we can how good it looks.

Hurry! If you don't post any before the clock strikes New Years, then your tank will turn back into a pumpkin!
 
It seems that both those plants don't require fertilizers, though if you were thinking about going to a high tech plant tank anyway~

Yeah, i have learnt that too. But onwards and upwards for now. Im happy with hows its come. Its my first planted tank (all my others are all fake plants and decor) so its nothing magnificent but im just glad ive finally done it. Another of my goals ticked all in time for new year.
 
Im on my phone at the moment so pictures arent able to be uploaded but as soon as i can i will. Haha, hmm if it does i dont know what i would do with my new found pumpkin as Halloween has been and gone...
 

 
No they dont but i have got some regardless to be prepared and also if i do fancy adding a plant that requires it im one step ahead.
