Any recommendations for plants for my tank?

London - hard water. No co2.

Want to add some more colour and variety if possible, but appreciate without co2 might be hard. Just gave it all a trim as the swords were growing crazy!

What about adding another Crypt. Look up Cryptocoryne Crispatula Var. Balansae (red) or Cryptocoryne nurii. For background, you could try Vallisneria. There are some species that have more colour than others.

Myriophyllum grows well in my hard water without CO2. Some species have red stems and/or leaves.

The fine, pointed leaves would go perfectly with your plants.

There is actually a Cryptocoryne Crispatula in there just hasn't grown very much but I like the look of the ones you suggested!! I had Vallisneria in my last tank and it grew so much I swear I never want it again hahaha!

Myriophyllum looks lovely, similar to Limnophila Sessiliflora which I also have somewhere in this tank!

In my last tank I had a lovely Nymphaea Lotus that grew amazingly so I may buy another of those

crypt nuri is definitely an option - here are some of mine (so you know what they look like):

(pink line variety)

(random nuri - they all differ a little)
(there is a third type i ahve but couldn't find a picture called something like pa hang - it has a bit more green - a leaf is shown in the bottom of the first picture that green leaf mixed in with the pink line).

My water is tds 140 (gh 6 kh 3) and it seems to grow fine. If you visit the states i can give you a few as i need to trim them down but i dont' want to mail overseas esp with the crap going on around here.

I've not tried them in super hard water so don't know for sure how tolerant they are but i could not grow them in super soft water that most of my aquariums have.

I did a google search on hardwater aquatic plants and this thread has some useful thoughts on the matter buti have no first hand experience:

"I have similar hard water. The type you need to work with hammer and chisel before drinking. I have great success with weeping moss (unfortunately), java ferns, mini swords (helantium bolivianum), hygrophilia polysperma, hygrophilia corimbosa, rotala rotundifolia, and a few others I forgot the name of. All of them grow like crazy. "

Neverrotsicus from the genus Plasticicus. Thrives in all water types and contributes beneficial microplastics to the water column, alleviating the need for any fertilization whatsoever. Does well under the lighting from neon beer signs. Won't drop it's lower leaves like a stripper trying to make a quick buck.
Pair it with glowing octopus floaters for a natural tank the whole family will enjoy!
