I have three baby red belly pirahnas and when I first got them, they were eating very well because I had a supply of tubifex worms (which is what they were fed in the store) but I since stopped feeding them because they're very unhealthy and I can't keep them alive for more than a few days and the closest live petstore is pretty far.

Now I feed them fishflakes and various meats. I tried these raw: prawn, fish, chicken livers and mussels and they like tearing into them but they won't consume it. They used to like roasted chicken but have stopped eating it. They also used to like raw fish but have stopped it eating it as well.

Now it seems they only like their fish flakes. What do I do? I'm going to try filet mignon and lobster soon. Okay seriously now, I'm going to try beef and beef heart next but I doubt that'll work.

They're too small for feeder fish yet... But I want to keep a supply of brine shrimp on hand or water fleas. Are water fleas the easiest to cultivate and where can I get a starter colony from?

dont feed any fish any white meats, roasted chicked ect will not b good for them. al;l red meats like pig heart ect, seafood is good,my cichlids love a prawn every now and again. the piranas are probably being stuborn as you have taken away there old diet that they prob enjoyed. even tho you have done the right thing if its unhealthy for them, u need to ween them off it not just a sudden total change.

Dont feed things like chicken (espically roasted  ) chicken livers, and other mammalian meats too often. The piranhas will have trouble digesting it, among other problems that will cause. Mussels are good, but try the following foods:
Frozen silversides
Earthworms
Frozen Krill
Brine shrimp
Also, at the bottom of this page you will find a feeding section, give it a read. Piranha Keeping 101
