i've heard some bettas will play with them. some will also push marbles around on the bottom of their tanks.

I read it on here a while ago fish playing with them I just know they said my fish were not the type to try.

Golf Balls are they not too hard and if the outer shell broke those rubber bands. perhaps not made that way anymore. If I risk access I think golf balls are not out. The last one hit my head was bad enough I nearly got knocked out just glad he did not get a hole in one or I would be stuck.

I have used ping pong or plastic floating practice golf balls with my oscar before. I am not sure if he is trying to eat it or just amusing himself but its completely safe with oscars. My oscar seems to have fun grabbing the floating ball and spitting it out against the hood of the tank. Its kind of annoying when he does it at 3 am but when I am watching him (and not trying to sleep) its quite amusing. I trained him so that if he wants food he will knock the ball off the hood and then I feed him.
