Puffers are solitary? Are they aggressive fish? I find them absolutely fascinating ... kinda got side-tracked looking at pics of them when I was researching bettas online --- they live in brackish water right? That is too complicated for me, being such a newbie to the fish-world

Yeah, puffers are mean little boogers!! In a big enough tank it's usually ok to keep them with others of their own species. Most puffers are saltwater or brackish, but the one in my pic is a dwarf puffer and they're freshwater
You usually need a 10 gallon to keep two of them, but I have two females in a 5 gallon and they get along great. I just got lucky I guess.
Edit: Oh yeah, incase you're wondering, they only get an inch long
