So i recently put some fish into my ten gallon tank. Two balloon mollys one dalmation and one pure white, and four blue mettalic guppys, the ph is like 8.2 and was wandering if this was a lil too high

Ph is really tricky. Fristly what is the Ph from your tap ? Also do you know your Kh level ?
Some fish prefer lower PH, some like it around 8. As your Ph increases so does the toxicity of ammonia so thats one problem. The other is that depending on your buffer, its hard to changer your Ph. Normally Ph does decrease over time. Normally livebearers like water between 6.5 and 7.5 but as long as your weekly maintenance is good, they will survice like that.

How often do you peform water changes ?

Fish will usually adjust to any water parameters IF they are stable. Messing around with your pH may cause more harm then good. They are very sensitive to any pH cage. So I would not worry if it does not fluctuate.

Your livebearers will do just fine in that ph, livebearers come from areas with harder water than many tropical fish kept.

Would be a good idea to test the ph of your tank though vs the tap as suggested.

Mollies prefer brackish water so they would be fine at that pH and guppies can usually just about live in anything. I hope those are all males though or you are going to be severely overstocked very quickly.
