This petition was posted at another fish board. It is to stop the production of Genetically modified Aquarium Fish.

They are talking about making glow-in-the-dark danios now.

I'm very against genetically altering fish for people's amusement, especially when it harms the fish.

I just wanted to post this in case anyone wanted to sign it.

Holy chit I was shocked when I read about fish injected with dye but this just disgusts me! Wtf are they going to think of next? I am against genetically altering anything for any purpose. I belive that it is incredibly foolish of us to think that we can produce something better than what mother nature created in the first place. Poor fish.

There are many petitions floating around the internet for things such as this.

Have already signed many of them, but until the shops stop to carry them, I am affraid there will always be a market for them.

I have signed in too. Imagine yourself glowing. It would be very distracting for you to even see things with your whole body glowing. Must strain the eyes some. Technology is great and crappy at the same time. Until they can cure cancer and AIDS, I don't care to see any of my money wasted on crap like this. Leisurely research, which is probably somehow partially funded by tax dollars. I know enough other useless things are.

Uh...call me wierd but i think it'd be kewl to be able to glow But i'd want the ability to shut it off. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm anyone know a good mad scientist?!?!?!?!?!?

And if I'm not mistaken, that tank is a 7G...not a 5G. I have the same tank (freshwater of course) and it's bigger than 5.
