Peculiar Platy

I have 3 platys in my tank at the minute.

I got bored of fishless cycling because it didnt seem to be working.

It took me 2 100% water changes to clear the nitrites, and last saturday i added my 3 platys.

Since then my stats have been, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0 and the nitrates seem to be rising (VERY slowly).

So it appars my tank was cycled after all

Anyway, my platys were very relaxed when i added them, and they were all very energetic until today when i got home from school, my biggest fish, called bubbles (as she was the first to brave the bubbly airstone) seems to be very shy.

She will come out every hour or so for about 10 minutes, then go hide in the cave or behind my fake plants. She is slower than the rest, but i have checked them all for diesease and they seem alright.

Any ideas?

Check your temp and stats, she may be naturally more timid or possibly suffering from fish bullying.

could she be pregnant?
i have a fish that is pregnant and she hides alot and makes little diches in the gravel for her fry.
she can get nervouse
have a look at her belly near the bottum do you see any black-dots (eyes) from within her?
keep and eye on her size if she gets biger then she may be pregnant!

shes goes behind the big plant and she seems to have moved into the gravel a little so maybe you are right. I will have a look out for those eyes next time she comes out.

She doesnt look fat, which is more than can be said for my red coral platy, she is the smallest but the fattest xD
