Peas?

Hi All,

I have read that adding a couple of sheeld peas once ion a while will give the fish something else to have a nibble on, so to speak. Do you do anything with them first or can I just thaw a couple of frozen peas remove the shell and then pop them into the tank.

Cook them in the microwave for two minutes, let cool down, pop out of shell, mush them between the fingers and add to the tank.

i jus put them in some tank water to thaw a bit, i find you need to do this to get the shell off neway.

Thanks for that. I had a couple left over from Sunday Roast earlier. They had been cooked obviously. So I took the shell off and gave them a little squish and popped them in the tank. My danios have just torn them apart, amazing. They were in less than three minutes and now there is nothing left.

Good, my fish love there peas, i give them veg from cooked dinners, peas are good keeps them going to the toilet, I give them peas at least twice a week.

i feed peas at least once a week. i place them in boiled water for 60 to 90 seconds then mush them in my hand and dip my hand in the tank. my fish go mad for them and will nibble the bits stuck on my hand lol
