Worried that he might not be getting enough food from other greedy fish that I have, have been told about earth wrom what are these and can you get them from any good pet shop?

hmm where are you located?

earth worms are literally that worms that live in the earth as in lawns, and gardens. I get mine from the local mini mart they sell them as bait for fishing. Seem a whole lot cleaner then the ones out of the garden, the ones in the garden are full of dirt and will cloud up the water and possibly give your eel diseases.

LFS should have live tubeflex worms which my eel loves, or grub worms which I had success with but have heard good things from others.

Ive heard they eat live black worms, ghost shrimp, and small feeder fish...
