setting my tank up and really like parrot fish.ive had a 55 gal for years of course moved from florida to georgia ,alway had a semi aggressive tank but tell me what can go with parrot fish

Parrot cichlids.. not puffers..

Anyways, something not too small, not overly aggressive, but something that can handle itself.

Festivum, rainbow cichlids, severums..

Again, something not too aggressive, but something that can handle itself.

They go alright with anglefish I've noticed, mabye discus too, I've never tried with discus, but I have with angles and they were fine

Sorry not with it :hyper:

I have 2 parrots with a severum, an african leaffish?, and 3 australian rainbows. They have been together since they were babies (about 8 months or so) and do great in my 55.

Barb

In my 55 I have 1 FM, 1 black convict, and a BP(if that's what you're talking about and I'm assuming it is).

Mine are with Angelfish and Bosemani Rainbowfish - all okay

Same here - so far so good, two adults in with angels, rainbow cichlids, boesmanni, two baby JDs (they're not permanent additions though - they're moving on asap!) and various plecs.

But being cichlids - more specifically hybrids of two aggressive cichlids, with some parrots - that set up might be too tame for them. It all depends on the fish.

Mine are a breeding pair, and have laid in my tank (obviously infertile eggs like 99.9% of parrot fish) so I think if they were going to be aggro they'd have done it then. But perhaps I've got a particularly easy pair lol.
