Overkill? Skimmer

I have a 120 litre fish only tank and was wondering if the v2 1500 would be overkill for skimming as i can get one really cheap

However, I know people who had a TMC V2 and soon sent it back as it was ugly, took up half the tank and was nowhere near as good as a deltec.
