Oscar Grow Out How Long?

How long would it take an oscar to grow out of this tank, as there is one at the LFS that i really like, but my tank for it, (see other thread) isn't ready for it yet how long would an oscare be able to stay in the 15gallon (uk) that i already have empty. The oscare is about 5 inches or 13cm long currently.

it's already too big for a 15g

at 5" it's probably nearly 6 months old. they grow very fast in the first year and will reach 10" by the time the year is up.

at this size it should be in a 30/40g tank minimum and that'd need upgrading within a couple of months.

sorry but you just have to be patient until your tank is ready IMO

if you have a tank suitable being set up, you could ask the store to reserve the fish for you so you can get him once the suitable tank is ready
