i recently started treating my tank using Maracyn and Marycyn-Two. well, before this my white micky mouse platy was all white. now she has a yellow-orange streak that is on the top of her spine and going back into her tail. it's not in the tail yet but its right before it. i never noticed it before. could this be a negative reaction to the meds or is she just a victim of a died fish? her white on her is kinda transparent so i doubt she was died white. maybe she was died orange at some point?

here's a pic... please hurry (sorry the pic didn't come out well but its the best i could do. She NEVER stays still!)

the marking starts right behind her head, follows her spine and then goes strait down right before her tailfin (all on the body none on the fins)

Probably just her colouring, i would ask this to be move to the livebearers section, they will help you more.

Have you checked your ammonia levels? Fish can show red markings from ammonia poisoning. If your ammonia is not 0, this could be the culprit.

yea i checked all my levels in the tank and my ammonia, nitrite and nitrates is all 0, i did have a problem with ammonia a week or so ago (you can look and see al my posts on it) but my tank has been cycling about 3 weeks and all the fish look good. i'm treating though for fin/tail rot, cotton mouth etc (caused by stress from high ammonia levels) the fish are doing good and the treatment is almost done (the first meds-triplesulfa- weren't working that well so someone suggested to switch to maracyne and maracyn-two) since the switch it has healed like a charm. i had to do a whole lot of water changes to get the ammonia levels down though :/ but i it was all worth it in the end. i don't know what it is but i'm treating the tank with the meds that the link above suggest i treat the likely possability and my ammonia level is 0 so either way she should be fine right?

Yes I would say she should be fine. Even if the red is from ammonia you have fixed that problem. Glad you got your ammonia problem under control. Tons of water changes can be a lot of work, I know.

I would say its the fishs natural coloring, fish go pale when they are stressed so the reason why it looked white before was probably down to the cycling process/ammonia/nitrites in the tank- otherwise it looks like a normal healthy platy to me, its coloring is not uncommon in platys so its nothing to worry about :) .

Several of my crosses pinkish white Mickey Mouse platy/orange wagtail have turned out pinkish white but with orange along their backs and in the dorsal fin- they look very similar to your picture. This orange streak has only showed up quite late, at 6 months or later.

yea she looks to be about 6 months old (she doesn't look like a juvenile) and dhe was probably the result of a white micky mouse crossed wit hsome form of orange platy (i.e. sunburst) or vice versa and that was the result. also, when i bought her in the petshop she was advertised and i bought her as a white micky mouse platty. she was white in their tank and the tanks in there have been cycling for a very long time and don't have problems wit hammonia or nitrates and nitrites.
