Ok Stocking For A 55 Gallon Tank?

2 German Blue Rams (or 1 - if I get same sex will they be aggressive? Or if I get a male and female and they happen to breed would it disrupt the other fish?)
5 - 7 Panda Cories
6 Rummynose Tetras
7 Neon Tetras ( other reccomendations? I've heard these don't do well in new tanks)
6 - 7 Flame Tetras (or similarly sized tetras)
And several shrimp, etc.

everything seems fine to me, just make sure you keep up with water changes and the regular stuff. Be sure to post pictures of the tank cause that sounds like a really cool setup!

I like the different types of tetras.. hmm... how about instead of the flame tetras I double the size (or add like 3 more) to the other two shoals? Not sure if I want rummynoses, I've heard they're shy. So the rams will be OK if I get male/female?

if you like the different types of tetras it should work just fine provided you provide something around 6-10 for each tetra. But visualy, I like one big school more, it is personal opinion.

seems fine to me, you may want to boost the number of the neon tetras, and I'd say the same for the cory cats.

K how about 8 - 9 neons and 8 cories?

I say get 10 neons, 10 cory cats, 8-10 rummy nosed tetras, the 2 rams (male and female would be best.) and the shrimp you wanted. I'd also say, since you have the space, get a shoal of atleast 6 oto cats for the algea crew.
