Okay, i didnt know if this belonged here or not, but this gets the most action in the forum ( in my OP). Anyway, my angels layed eggs again, and it was on the wall. Well, im trying to figure out if the eggs are fertile, but its hard to do that when the eggs get fungused and fall off. So, i took a card, and a jar, and put the jar in the tank, under the clutch of eggs. I then pushed down hard, and lightly scraped the eggs off, and they fell into the jar. Then i put in 6 drops of methylene blue, and 1 drop of Acriflavin. I also added in a airstone. I sat the jar in a fish breeder net, so the water would stay warm. I am freaked out, as i dont know if i did the right thing. I tried to call John ( Tolak), but i got no reply, so i acted on impulse. So, any help as what i did wrong, ,or what i need to do?

It's worth a try if they keep spawning on the glass. I do this with cory eggs, it works fine for them, but never had a reason to do it with angel eggs.

I got the call, not to sound like a bummer or anything, but I was at a wake & really couldn't answer.

No prob John. I was just panicking, and instead of using the brain God gave me, i figuerd i'd bother you and have you do the thinking for me. Plus, if the eggs didnt make it, it owuld technically be YOUR fault, since you gave me the suggestion =] lol. I hope they make it.

Sometimes you have to move the eggs. With rainbows it's not uncommon for a breeder to walk around with a glass vial of eggs in his pocket to try and get them to hatch. This is helpful if the parents eat all the eggs in the mop. I have moved cory eggs before too and they were fine. If you are having problems with eggs getting fungus, why not try some pimafix. If they are infertile they should turn white first before they fungus.

Well, the eggs just turn white. A couple the first day, adn tehnt eh rest over the next 2 days. I tried to get them to spawn on PVC Pipe, and a leaf, but nope, they are dead set on spawning on glass.

Yeah, well, the jar got tank water in it, and the solution was diluted. The eggs are goign bad very rapidly. Even with the air stone. How can i keep the eggs warm without the water getting in?
