has any1 else from uk used these lamps , if so was the extra cost worth it ?

I've got a 24in one in a 48 in tank and my swords are growing a treat, it's also well past it's replacement date. So yes it can be worth the extra. But you can also get a Daylight Plus bulb which works almost as well, if you buy them by mail order they are sometimes cheaper
