Fish Crazy
So after an ich outbreak nearly killed all my fish.. im left with whats shown in the sig, as of now im doing daily anti ich and anti bacterial treatments, and 2x 25% WC per week to help the cause, no cysts shown, but the swordtail seems to like hiding in a hollow log.
So my question is, in a month... just beforei head back to school, id like to restock up the tank, though not a heavy extent , and something i can afford(not gonna bother asking dad.. to pay that is, but im gonna ask him to inspect all my fish for disease while wer at the shop(some are goign to be bought at petsmart so thats why...)
i want to have a decent shoal of zebra danios and a decent shoal of somethign else for my 33, possibly 8 danios, 6 cories, and a trio of some sort of gouramis?
Now for the 2 gallon holding the betta, i want to get some java fern, and other hardy plants, what can i grow in there w/o co2 and im going to keep in front of hte window...? i want to grow a desnly planted tank in there, and move plants over to the 33 as it gets fuller and fuller, lighting is sunlight and 7 watt incandescent(nightlight style)
also about algae, if i have plants in good density, perhaps i could add a number of ghost shrimp for the cause of cleaning scraps and algae?
33 gal is run with an aquaclean 50(250 gph) and a corner air powered box filter(filter floss and gravel).
2 gal run with an elite stingray 5 filter.(thinking of upgrading this tank sometime something with glass canopy and desk lamp, but probably not till christmas...)
