I'm fairly new to tropical fish keeping, I have a 60 litre hex tank which took about 3 months fishless cycling before the fish shop would let us buy some fish after testing our water for us a few times. I try to follow everything by the book, test the water weekly and do 25% water change once a week, I started off with 4 Platies, after about 5 days one didn't look too happy and was hiding away the next day he was dead, I thought maybe I was unlucky, as the days went on 2 more fish started looking unhappy, a bit lifeless and I noticed one of them had a broken top fin that looked rotten, so satrted looking on the internet for answers which is when I discovered the fish had white spot. 2 of them had tiny white dots, a few on their bodies and some on their fins, the fish had also since we got them been rubbing themselves on the tank ornaments. The next day I went out straight away and bought eSHa EXIT for white spot and eSHa 2000 for fugus fin rot etc both of which can be used together to treat both problems. (I have no idea if this eSHa treatment is any good). After about a day of treatment the fish seemed more healthy again (thought they might all die!)and some spots had gone a few days later and all spots have gone and the fin is growing back nicely. Ever since this the fish still occasionly rub themselves on the ornaments, some days never see them do it other days they do, they have no signs of white spots anymore and seem really healthy. At the weekned we got 2 more Platies from a different shop as we'd heard the first shop might not be the best place to get them from, when we introduced them the new fish also rub themselves occasionly. My question is, do we still have a white spot problem even though no sign of spots on any fish for the last couple of weeks. I've read that the rubbing is a sign of white spot, do you always see them on the fish? I know they drop off after a while and multiply and get back on the fish, not sure if I need to worry or not.

How may fish are in the tank now.
Need water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Fish can flick through bad water quality and sometimes after a water change.
Check the gill area to see if it looks red and inflamed.

if white spot was only treated for one day it would not be gone yet as they have a 3 stage life cycle One being attached to the fish which medications cannot attack it two being the free swimming stage where they can be attacked and the third they get on the subtrate and lay eggs to start the cycle all over again...

Water stats from last night before weekly 25% change were Ammonia less than 0.1mg/litre, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10mg/litre and PH 7.5. There are now 6 fish in the tank and I did the full treatment for 5 days as per the instructions which it explains. It states that it uses a unique double action to combat parasites swimming in the water aswell as those maturing on your fish. Its fully biodegradable and does not cotain Formaldehyde which can be damaging to sensitive fish. The gills of the fish look fine, the fish are all very active, with their top fins up and are eating well too.

Water change you have a slight ammonia reading to see if that makes any difference.
Check for tiny littles bubbles on the fish that can be a sign that there about to break out in whitespot again.

I did a water change on Monday night after I tested the water, so I guess the results would be lower if I tested it again afterwards. There is still no sign of any bubbles on the fish or spots at all and they still seem very active and happy, I was concerned after reading peoples problems of white spot and how some people don't seem to be able to get rid of it, I think I'll have to keep an eye on them.
