i don't know if anyone is familiar with the Tropical Fish Hobbyist, but i work for the company that publishes it, TFH Publications. i work in the shipping department as inventory control. TFH used to be privately owned and the president was herbert axelrod, he has a fish named after him (MELANOTAENIA HERBERTAXELRODI) and also written a few ENCYCLOPEDIAS on different freshwater and marine species. he was before my time with the company,though. TFH, for a few years now, has been owned by the large corporation Central Garden & Pet. they also own other companies including: all glass aquariums, kent marine, and oceanic. for all the UK people they also own Interpet, they distribute some of our publications. anyway, on to the jealousy, i can get any item from these companies at a great discount. so for anyone who can't get a sweet deal like this i must say: neener neener neener

I use to work for Anthony Baird-Parker - who will be familiar to anyone that has worked in microbiology or has used Baird-Parker medium or agar for their staphs.....not quite the same but hey, I know someone who has something named after them too
