Nitrite Spiked But Ammonia Dropped To Zero

well now my tank has decided to bring nitrite up to bout 2.0 but ammonia has dropped to zero, what does that mean?

Check out the chart, it's part of a normal cycle for ammo to drop & nitrites to appear.

Well it's def on it's way. Are you cycling with fish or doing it fishless. If you are fishless cycling you still need to add ammonia to feed the bacteria.

i'm cycling with fish, only because i didnt know i had to cycle it again, it has been setup for over a year, had a fish in it which died, probably coz the tank was 2 small for it and its been out of action for bout 6months but still had it full and filter running, cant wait for it to finish cycling
