Newts Skin Oil Poison...true Or False

im gettin a newt friday and wuz wondering if they have a poison that would kill off my crab and mudskipper? i heard this and didnt believe it, is it even safe to put them together?

Nope that mix won't work.

crabs and other invertabrates are notorious for causing serious damage to newts--sometimes even chopping of entire limbs! mudskippers are also fiesty creatures who can prove dangerous.

remember, newts are on the whole rather squishy creatures that ought not be kept with any sharp edges. this includes such items as claws and spiny-fins.

depends on the newt. what kind are you getting?

if i were you, i'd pm a mod and request that this topic be moved to the invertabrates, aquatic reptiles and amphibians forum. the people there should be able to help you figure something out.
