Just want to say hello, and introduce myself a little. I currently live in Florida, have lived in the south my whole life, and I have been interested in fish and water for as long as I can remember.
As a child I had the prerequistie goldfish tank, and sometime in elementary school that became a 29g with an oscar (Oscar), common pleco (Wiggles), and a catfish I caugth out of a ditch (Fish)(probably a bullhead). I had them for several years.
In 1991 I went to work at a pet store where my education with tropical fish really began. I remember setting up a 2gal hex tank, the kind you usually see sold for bettas, and after a few months I had a very busy tank with a population of 15 small guys (tetras, corys, kuhlis, etc.) I realized after I reached a point of having to do water changes every other day I should probably bump up to a bigger tank, and moved up to a ten, then 40 long, then I bought a used 85hex, and it's all been downhill from there! (J/K)
I have a times had as many as 18 aquariums running, from 10-85g,goldfish, SA and CA cichlids, African cichlids; I have done a small saltwater tank with a grouper, and I have had a few fun brackish tanks. I had a beautiful African lungfish for nearly 10 years, and when she passed recently she was over 34 inches. I have a leaning towards the odd, the giant, and the ones that might bite off your finger by accident. I also have dabbled with planted tanks, and hopefully through this site and advice from experts here, I might actually have a more successful plant tank. :)

Currently I have 2 bettas, a 15tall with rainbows, Knight gobies, and dojos in it; a 32 cube with my current favorites, a fire eel, tiretrack eel, black ghost, ctenopoma, and a variety of loaches in it; a 29 with a mish mash of African odd balls, knife fish, and small gold severums, and a 55g with a large severum, a chocolate cichlid, a walking perch, 2 dwarf giraffe cats, and a (common) tiger shovelnose. I have a 7 inch blackbelt that alternates btw the tank and a small holding tank ( she gets about 2 days in the big tank before she gets too aggressive, then back to her cell)
I have my old 85 still, but I need to renovate the stand, and I have a 65 hex to be re-sealed, and I lent my 45show to my boyfriend who has a pair of parrot cichlids, a texas, a green terror, a group of clown loaches, and a royal pleco in it for now.

Nice to meet ya'll!
