I'm looking to treat myself prob around xmas time that's if i get the nod from the missues  to a smaller set up as well as my 350L tank i already have. Don't want to go too big, what would be the most sensible size and stocking suggestions would like to keep angel fish maybe, can't risk them i don't think in my current set up with fairly large fish i.e Oscar etc

Hard to know, I'm no expert, but angels are cichlids and they get fairly big. I'd say more than 40L for a few angels. Like I said, I might not be the best person to ask though :)

For angelfish, I'd lean towards 50 gal+ if you want a few of them. More is better. You need at least 18 inches of height and enough swimming room for an 5-8 inch fish.

Thanks loachman, thinking of investing in a 70L With a couple of Angels, any suggestions on what else to keep in the same tank? and which breed of Angels would be best, would like it to be a nice peaceful tank.
