Afternoon all! It's months since I've been on here. I've been trying to build my business up and just haven't had the time.

I'm moving house next week though ... and will finally get my new tank. I plumped for the Juwel Rio 300 in the end because it's quick and easy ... and not too pricey (I haven't made my fortune quite yet!).

The extra space was for my three pearl gouramis and my pair of angelfish (which are a bit cramped in their 20 gal tanks) although, unfortunately, the female angelfish died a few weeks ago (no idea why) so she won't benefit.

I'm planning on putting the angelfish, pearl gouramis, tetras and danios all in the big tank (and topping up on the numbers of the shoaling fish that have dwindled over the last couple of years), keeping one 20 gal for the tiger barbs and chain loaches and another 20 gal for the male guppies and platies and the panda corys.

That leaves female guppies, two big old lady platies and ten pygmy cories.

Two questions:

Will the pygmy cories and the panda cories get on together, if I put them in the same tank? The pygmies have been very much more active since being in a tank just with male guppies (who, of course, are only interested in displaying to each other) and no boisterous companions. And the pandas are .. well ... boisterous!

Has anyone tried putting young active female guppies in with tiger barbs? I'd like to get rid of one 20 gal tank and just keep a 10 gal for the two female platies and my original female guppies - which leaves the young girlie guppies looking for a home. In with the tiger barbs ... or down to the lfs?
