New Hex Tank

i just got a 38 gallon hex tank on ebay for 25 bucks! its not so wide across but it is quite tall. ive never had a hex tank before. any suggestions on the types of fish for a tall tank with not much lateral movement space? any suggestions on types of fish to speifically avoid? you can tell from my signature what types of fish im into. any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you might be able to fit a few angelfish in there, they need height rather than width and around 40 gallons minimum.

Beautiful fish, and if you manage to get a pair - you'll have eggs every month, and the laying displays are incredible to watch!
