new fish suggestions

hiya guys

a few of u may know about my dilemma i had when i spent a lot of money on fish and some live food........then they all died due to a parasite in the live food

my girlfriends mum went back to the lfs n told them their food was contaminated with a parasite and they said that it wasnt.....but it was my new guppies that had spread a disease even tho i still have my older tank mates and a couple of guppies left

i deffo think it was a parasite and only my new fish died as they were stressed from travelling and their immune system was a bit low due to the stress

anyway

im ready to buy some new fish.....any1 have any suggestions??

im deffo gettin a ghost knife fish....but what else should i add?

What sized tank is it and what size are all the fish you have in it?

Hiya! If u have a microscope, u can find out if the live food's contaminated with parasites or not. But usually a denial is the answer u'll get when u complain on something!

Oh well... where can u get those uncommon fish like the ghost knife fish? Hav never seen them around here!

its a juwel rio 180 so its about 4 foot long.....180 litres

my current fish are all small......2-3 inches for the biggest ones

feline......theres a few good shops in cheshire......somethin fishy in northwich and a few good garden centres dotted around northwich and a place called higer legh

cheshire waterlife is there too.....but somethin fishy has really good fish....even has rays and eel's

Cheers Tek! That'll b at least an hour drive back home from cheshire (coz i'm living in the centre of manchester)... will the fishies b alrite with such a long journey?

yeahhhhhhhh.......i had mine in a bag for 2 hours.......just tell the person baggin the fish and they will put more water and air into the bag......should be okay in summer....especially with the warmth we got now


i got some more fish today.....i got 2 male n 2 female guppies.......a silver shark.....and 3 more congo tetra's but they are only young.....still silver n got no colour....i couldnt tell what they were at first.....saw some emperor tetra's n they are COOL!!!!!......some had green eyes n some had blue....theyre deffo pn my list now
