Coming this good friday is the redeveloped Trebaron Garden Centre featuring the largest pet and aquatic deparment in the North, and over the easter weekend, they have special offers in ALL departments.

The following is taken from todays Wigan Reporter (probably several spelling mistakes on my behalf):

'Trebaron Garden Centre's official reopening will take place on Good Friday 14th April 2006.
The centre will host a day of dunfilled activities including an appearance from Bill Ward, better known as Coronation Street's Charlie Stubbs. Local radio station WIsh FM will also broadcast live from Trebaron on the day.
A roaming magician, face painter and balloon artist and Easter egg hunt will keep younger visitors busy.
Visitors will also be able to sample tasty treats from Trebaron's chocolate fountain, or eat at the new 250 seat restaurant and enjoy anything from snacks to full meals.
Product offers will feature in all departments, exclusive to the Good Friday re-opening celebrations.
Customers will also be invited to enter Trebaron's Easter weekend competitions for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including a fantastic patio furniture suite complete with parasol and cushions worth over £500 RRP.'

Trebaron Garden Centre is located at the following address :

174 Southworth Road,
Newton-le-Willows,
Merseyside,
WA12 0BS.

You can contact them on 01925 224138

wow it sounds good, especially for me being a coronation street fan :D i think i may just have to go, its only about 15miles down the motorway. thanks for this :good:

I was looking foward to going today, but after the Rugby my parents are going out so I can't make it :(

I'm hoping to go on saturday so if anyone goes you'll have to let me know what it's like :)

well ive just got back :D it was quite good.. there was only a small section at the back dedicated to fish, they did have an ok selection though and some good prices, a lot of fish at 99p each, though i picked up 7 zebra danios for £4. not sure how coz they were 99p, but not complaining :p

tbh the staff looked stressed and probably just couldnt be bothered putting fish back. i dont blame them, the place was packed, it took us 20mins to get in and get parked. prices were quite good on other things, picked up a condensation tray for £1.99, a box of freeze dried brine shrimp and bloodworm for £1.49 each and 6m of airline for £4.50.

oh yeah and i got a few pics of charlie from coronation street on my phone :hey:

not a bad shop but i doubt ill be returning as its a 30min drive away and its not bad, but nothing special, was just cool with the reopening and all :)

I have to say that I am shocked, It was made out to be the largest pet place in the north, clearly these people have never been to Pier Aquatics or Pets At Home, there was only a small amount of fish, and there was nothing special, just the usuals, apart from one small eel which the fish person on duty argued with me was an elephant nose fish.

its selection was a little limited i agree, maybe its the largest garden centre in the north, but not 'pet and aquatic department'
