new fish problem

here is a tough problem:

a week ago i bout 3 female guppies from a store and i gave 1 to my girlfriend. the guppies looks fine at that point. but after four days the first guppy died in my tank with a white swell near the head, then next day another quppies in my tank also show some swelling symtoms. also she did not make it 2 days later... the strange thing is one of the 3 guppies i gave to my girlfriend also have this problem. that guppy also has a small white swell on the left side of the body. then i went back to the paet shop, asking for reasons. they said there must be some transistion error from the thier shop to our tanks. but i already placed the them in a bag for 30 mins before i put it in( so as my friend's)..... so now i would like to know what is the cause for these 3 fish in different tanks can die in the same way and in a short period of time???

p.s. my girlfriend's guppy is still alive and isolated tank but that swell still presist.

What fish have you got in your tank because there could be a fish that is picking on them.

nah my tank ran about 2 months and have 3 males 2 females with bunch of fry before i added these troublesome 2. i am sure the cycle is over before i adde them in. but those males never being to aggrise to them because the females always have planty of room to hide hide. in a 10 gal tank with hybrid filtration.

humm it's about ther same with my girlfriends tank.. her's is 3.7 gal plastic tank. with 1 male and 2 females before she have to problem one. so is this detail enough? if need more info i will try to get more ( need to run some more test)
