Sorry to post the same sort of topic that everyone else does :shifty:

I have a 4ft x 1ft x 1ft tank (in signature) which currently homes a medium sized sailfin plec and a few other fish such as 2 gouramis, a couple of guppys and a couple of pencilfish.

I'm going to re-design my tank to make it a little prettier, and I'd like some nice new fish to go with it if possible!
I adore catfish, I'd like a small plec to watch as mine only comes out at nice (lazy bugger), but I don't know if it would get on with my current plec.
Failing that something like upside down catfish or ottos interest me - any suggestions at all?

Thanks :)

A group of Parotocinlus jumbo; pitbull plec (god i'm recomending these to everyone atm)

Very small pleco....
Cute and interesting to watch. Should be active in the day as well.

Thanks, what sort of groups should they be in?
They look great, but I have a gravel tank not sand - not sure this would be suitable?

Any other suggestions?

I just got a lovely chocolate ancistrus plec a colour variant of the bristle nose plec part brown with albino patches if that makes sense, a very active little fellow and great fun to watch! maybe worth considering?

He was on fine rounded gravel but have just upgraded tanks so he will shortly be on a sand base, he is only tiny at the moment (about 1") so he was temporarily placed in quarenteen til the big tank is cycling (300L) just waiting for a few more tests to make sure the readings are ok.

pic of the little fella photo bucket is down so had to find an alternate host!

He will be living with an L001 plec which is similar to the sail fin but meant to grow to around 8" (although this depends where you look boooks say 6-8" web says 8-14")
