New Discus

im just settling 11 new discus in to tank ive got the light off and havent fed them how long before i can do a 25% water change and can i feed them tomorrow???

What size tank have you got them in?

Oh 120g, that's fine then. Go to the New World Cichlids forum instead because I don't know much about Discus.

Yeah feed them tomorrow. I'd let them settle in for a week before doing a water change. Good luck with your new Discus!

wow that long ok what about vaccuming gravel yes i have gravel hope to change to black granite sand in the near future thanks for that im sooooo excited about them

yes def leave it a week to let them settle, don't worry about cleaning the gravel till then, then start your regular water changes.
congrats on the new fish, can't wait to see photo of them

It cant hurt to drip some fresh dechlorinated water into the tank, just to refresh that which is evapourating.

Make sure you get some photos up when they have settled. Also what have they been fed up before you got them?

thanks heaps for all the replies i fed then this morning they were very bright and active and hungry i am feeding same as the seller was bloodworm some flake and bbs i have bbs hatcher in tank and it works really well the little guys just loooooove them didnt take them long to work out where they come from ill post pics as soon as i get a camera thanks again
