My favourite fish has recently died after having it for 6 years and I'd like a new centrepiece for the tank.

The previous star of the tank was a very peaceful RTBS and I'd like something equally striking and placid.

Nothing too big as the tank is only a 50G, tank mates are all peaceful community fish.

All suggestions welcome!

Fkying foxes don't reall yhave the same impact as the RTBS.

Pearl Gouramis are an option though.

I've got a pair of Pearl Gouramis as the centerpiece fish in my 55 gallon tank, and They're lovely. Moonlight Gouramis would be very pretty as well.

I really don't see gourami's as centre piece fish but what ever floats your boat :p.

I suggest either if your willing on a risky option a African Butterfly fish (depends your stocking of course) however for peacefull fish that can fit into a 55 gal I really can't think of anything a type of cichlid that is peacefull might work

A Kribensis Cichlid maybe. But if you do go with this suggestion, only get one (1).

Don't know how centerpiece-esque a keyhole cichlid is.. but might be an option..

Festivum cichlid maybe if you don't have any small small fish.
