Any of those will work. But if I were you I would do a oddball tank with eels and bichirs. But its youre tank so do what you want

I have considered that as well, I have a Black Ghost Knife and a dragon goby right now.
Ya they are hardy. Not hard to keep. Only grow about 10 inches. And mine was $6 at about 4 inches. However there are larger species that are probably more expensive.

Is $6 a pretty common price from a 4 incher? Will they eat other fish? Are they energetic in the tank? And I've hear they had to stick their head outta the water to breathe, is that true.
They will eat other fish that can fit in their mouths, not so sure they're air breathers though.

Actually the only reason I got him for that price is because I got it from walmart. Normally for 1 that size $9 is an average price. They only eat fish that are less than 3 and a half inches. They are the most energetic species of bichir(or so im told) and mine is quite active. And yes they stick their long nostrils out of the water to breathe.

Thhats very intresting, how long can they stay under with out breathing.
I may have to get me one of these, very cool indeed. Would it get along with bala sharks, the bgk, clown loaches and a dragon gody.
My BGK is like 3 maybe 4 inches and my dragon goby.
Ihave 2 bala sharks I just got, they are about an inch long. So If I get one Ill wait till they get bigger.
